» ART AND MADE IN ITALY: THE KEY WORDS OF NATUZZI DESIGN.

Posted on 30/04/2010

Santeramo in Colle (Italy), April 2010 –   Natuzzi showcases its novelties from the 2010 collection  with a booth in Pavilion 8 at the Salone del Mobile. The stand takes its inspiration from  natural scenarios such as awelcoming fireside and a colour palette from earthy browns  to mud greens and  periwinkle  accents.
Everything is designed to provide visitors with  a sense of   the values guiding  the company,  from design inspiration through to   total living solutions.Natuzzi’s aim is to offer  worldwide   consumers  stylish  and comfortable products, manufactured with the attention to detail that reflects the passion and  expertise of people  working in the company, and the  desire  to  amaze with the simplicity  and elegance  of  design ‘Made in Italy'.

From the same passion Cambré, Etoile and Metaphora were born;three new contemporary style models designed in the Natuzzi Style Centre.Cambré and Metaphora are modular sofas showcased both in linear and angular versions. Cambré  offers soft  and  welcoming shapes   with  a  natural fabric   covering in hemp colour and  accompanied  by stonewashed fabric cushions  to  provide a shabby chic effect.  Metaphora is  a   more  squared sofa  with a  leather frame that incorporates the seat cushions. It is  showcased  with a periwinkle leather covering.  Finally, Etoile,   with a light design and perfect symmetry is made special thanks to its covering in ultra-thick Cassidy leather.   Cassidy is the most precious leather offered by Natuzzi; extremely natural and with a thickness varying from 3 to 3.5 millimetres.

In addition  to   its  three  new  models,  Natuzzi  has collaborated with designer  Paola Navone  on an exciting  new collection called  “The fundamentals".This collection sees Paola Navone incorporate vintage design elements with some classic and 1800’s style armchairs.Showcase in a creased graphite and dusty grey colour fabric and embellished with baroque reliefs that convey the vintage heritage,   these armchairs surround the fireplace giving   the idea of   an original ensemble.Paola Navone’s collection includes not only sofas and armchairs, but also furnishings characterised by a basic design;irreplaceable  furnishing items  called “The fundamentals”.

The Chocolat coffee tables are designed to perfectly accompany the new Cambré model.Muddy in colour, once joined together, they create harmonious  and  organic shapes.  The top in marble  is  manufactured with  the  most advanced technologies, while the legs are in chromium-plated metal.
The  Natuzzi furniture collection now also includes the new  Novecento wall unit, a modular system made  up  of elements which can be placed on the floor, on benches or on the wall.
Novecento, thanks  to  the  numerous configurations available, is an important expression of the Natuzzi total living concept  and it is available in a wide range of colours and finishes.

The  Salone  del   Mobile  exhibition  also represents the appropriate occasion to demonstrate the  ideal   pieces to
decorate the  Natuzzi  living room; the new accessories   by the  artist  Giacomo Benevelli.  The collection of bronze accessories introduced last year, increases with the introduction of the  Manta tray,   Vasum vase and  Philira tray. Both  Manta  and   Vasum are available in polish and matt finishes and Philira in polish and dark maple wood finish. The three accessories have been manufactured with a rotational moulding technique.
The aim of the sculpture is to increase the possibilities of the  accessories, beyond just simple functionality and good design, bestowing them an artistic value.
